I'll keep that in mind. But so far, I don't have any idle issues at all. I'll keep an eye on the clutch cable, but it feels good for now.

Let me know if you ended up finding some cheap coil overs! I've been looking around for a while but everything comes back either really expensive, just because it's a Seat.

The timing belt was apparently recently replaced. I've been meaning to take a look at it. I'm planning on going on the Melbourne cruise, which I posted about on here. Check it out, it would be awesome to see another Seat!
Looking for a new project! PM if you have a Golf Mk2 in need of some TLC.

      Just an update!

I finally got around to wrapping my wing mirrors and I also did the center panel inside (not sure of the actual name for it), I think the carbon wrap when used in small doses looks fantastic!

Here are some pics as of now!

I also painted my wiper arms, which I was surprised at how they actually turned out. This photo doesn't do it justice!

I realised hadn't posted a pic of my hot orange calipers with the wheel on!

And here is the whole car as of now.

Next up! The black wrap for the roof is on its way, I'm currently sourcing some rims. I'll also be ordering 2 red LED strips and use them as foot well lighting which will be connected to the same circuit as the interior light. Should be nice! The pedals will be ordered come payday!

The front bumper depending on the weather, should be filled and painted this weekend! If not the weekend after!

      REGO NEXT MONDAY! WOOOOO!

How did you come across that Ibiza. It looks like you got the 16v seats in the 8v ibiza.

It should look sick with the r32 bumper!!

It was Matts from Camden GTI, bought it for $1500! The R32 bumper was just me ****ing about on photoshop... But I've had too many people tell me it looks awesome!

You're right it is an 8v, I was lead to believe all GTI's have the same seats... I could be wrong.

yeah 8v ibizas have different ones. In my opinion the 8v look better, don't like the purple!!

Did you paint the car already?? i remember it had paint faded on the roof and bonnet.

No paint at all yet. I just did a cut and polish on the bonnet and that came out pretty good. I just keep it polished and it's fine. The roof is still faded, I have sanded off the last of the clear coat then cut abd polished it up. Even though it helped it's still quite bad, just shiney. But I have some black wrap on the way!

Yeah. The back will be smoothed off too. Should be sweet!

hi mate, not sure if you'd consider these TSW Hockenheim but I have a set of 4 in 4x100. right fitment? they are 16 inch and 7.5 wide i think. ex display so really good condition.

My clutch cable progressively gets stiffer and stiffer then snaps. they may have fixed it in your model. i am one year difference to yours i think.

My seats are grey with colorful flecks through grey panels. except mine are worn from wear and studded belt. Sad... but either at some stage replace upholstery, or get custom seat covers. Puzzled what to do.

Coilovers hmmm. yes all expensive except Apex, JOM, weiteccoilovers which found through a link from one of your posts.
but not sure if i trust the quality of Apex, Jom, and weitec. Unless we should start a tread on here asking of experience with these brands.
I looked around found a rally website talking about APEX them saying they are a little hard and start to get harder quicker. prob not a good drive in the end. and fall apart quicker.

Originally I was looking at Koni, KW V2, Bilstein b16 and Spax., they seam expensive but you will get the quality out of them.

H&R: not sure of the quality of them for our cars.
Pedders: but some say stay clear of them.

i had spax on my car in the past but not coilovers and seamed good and they seam affordable compared to all the others

The KW V2 Coilovers are $1606, before shipping! Is the quality really that much better than the cheaper ones? I think it's probably best, see what everyone else has and get reviews... That would be helpful!

I was considering new seats, but it's a gamble when ordering custom seats off the net! I was thinking getting GTI written on these:
eBay Australia: Buy new & used fashion, electronics & home d

Pedders are just theifs! They take everything you have in your wallet, then give you a ****ty product and service. I had a mate go to them and then swear to never go back!

TSW Hockenheim rims ay... How much? With or without tyres?

Weitec are the same company as KW and many blokes are running them on their Golfs, with no complaints.

KW, Koni, Eibach, Bilstein, Ohlins, H&R,

Hotunning/JOM, Apex, some of the cheaper Spax and cheap. They get you low but dont really ride that well. Very harsh and basic but they get you low on a budget.

There is also the option of a cup kit (lowered springs and shocks) normally a 40/30 or 60/40 drop. Ok not as low as coilovers but on a budget with comfort they can be good.

Without rims, they are currently in 4 separate boxes that I received them from the store. I had planned to fit them to mk3 golf cab that never eventuated.

Was going to put them on flee bay with a starting bid of $250.

Where are you? I'll take them off your hands and save you from the epic amount of hassles with ebay! I'll give you $250 and I'll come pick them up if you are in either Melbourne or Sydney!

I'm glad you said that because I was going to grab a set of Spax coilovers... I'll take a look at some Weitecs.
