Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    S3 2010 Windows and Sunroof closeing with Remote

    Hi all
    A week ago I took delivery of an white 2010 S3 sportback with panoramic sun roof.
    Ive noticed the windows shut/open ok with the remote but the sunroof doesn't.
    It will close AND open with the key in the door lock.
    Also rain closing doesn't seem to work.
    With my vcds connected I have ticked all the boxes in the controller for windows comfort closing , rain closing etc (prev did same for am mkV R32 that was written off 3 weeks ago )

    Any one else has the sunroof close with the remote etc?

      Yes Ive done that. Roof module probably doesnt work with remote. Strange though as hard key turn opens and closes. Not too worried re Rain closing part would just like to be able to shut roof remotely. Windows work OK.

        after the windows have closed with remote release the lock button then hold down again. not sure if that works but i remember reading it some where.

          No luck. Even tried changing the rls coding same as mk6 . No joy.
          Audi dealer had a go too.. no luck there either.
          Tried the rain closing steps for mk6 with no go either.
