Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Climate Control Fault - High heat drivers side, Normal Passenger side

Today my Climate control decided to start playing up>

The heat coming from the Driver's side air vent was unbearably hot which I thought was just that the A/C was too high so went to lower the temp but to no avail.

Turned the air off, no change - just very hot air coming through the vent - checked all vents and noticed just the RHS was affected with the LHS working normally> I changed to split control, no change, back to Dual control no change.

I it appears that there is simply a fault with the RHS CLimate Control

    Any ideas would be appreciated

I have had nothing but issues since new on this car since new

Possibly a faulty vent temperature sensor.

Best to have it scanned, and see what it reveals.
