I’ve noticed on the last couple of trips that the cooling fans are staying on for a short while after switch off on my Wolfsburg.
Temp gauge is halfway at 90c, no errors showing in ODBEleven.
Any ideas?

T5.1 Multivan Radiator Cooling fan
Hello,
I suspect the radiator fan on my Multivan is not running to full potential. On hot days and or in stop start traffic, the oil temperature reading climbs to approx 108oC, sometimes higher (the coolant temp remains at 90oC), however the radiator fan never seams to reach high speed, compared...

Thermal Fan sensor not working as it should after MK3 alternator and Aircon upgrade
Hey Guys,
I have recently upgraded my car to a MK3 alternator and Air Compressor with a serpintine belt setup and it is working great so far.
However because I have flipped the radiator over to allow space for a MK3 alternator and Air compressor, the position of the thermal...

T6 Multivan Aircon- or lack of!
Are there any other T6 owners out there that are underwhelmed by the Multivans Aircon?
Anytime the temperature reaches 25+ deg, our front aircon struggles to keep noticeably cold (the rear seems ok). On "max a/c" (recirc/max fan/lowest temp) the air from the vent is barely...

Climate Control Fault - High heat drivers side, Normal Passenger side
Today my Climate control decided to start playing up>
The heat coming from the Driver's side air vent was unbearably hot which I thought was just that the A/C was too high so went to lower the temp but to no avail.
Turned the air off, no change - just very hot air coming...

Wrecking or complete; 2002 Bora 4Motion Sport
Hi All,
The reason this car is where it is; The oil cooler (or supporting pipes) have cracked allowing all oil from the engine to leak into the cooling system. While the cooler and pipes can be replaced (relatively) cheaply, it has likely damaged the radiator internals and other cooling...

1986 T3 Ageing problems
Just joined vwwatercooled. I've had my Transporter for over 20 years and clocked over 500K on the odometer. It's been a work, family and gig bus over the years, and is now showing real signs of wear and tear. I've done a lot of the easy maintenance jobs myself and regular servicing. Recently I had 3...

Cooler, faster, better... Turbo Wraps & Intercoolers
Has anyone used a Turbo Blanket before?
I've just taken delivery of my new RS and while I'm breaking the engine in, I want to work on some simple cooling mods to help the turbo run better and to protect pipes, hoses and wires from heat damage etc.
I've bought some titanium...

MY10.5 R36 intermittent Aircon - Sanden PXE16 RCV Fixed!
I have a MY10.5 R36 48k kms that the dealer just replaced my RCV on after I diagnosed and ordered the part from polarbear in the US. Mines a pxe16 Sanden compressor. I had intermittent to no cooling and only 9-11bar in VCDS no matter what the temperature or load. The service guys were sceptical but...Last edited by R36VW; 02-12-2014, 06:41 PM.

Mk2 Cooling Fan Shroud + non-working fan (Sydney) - $10
Item: Mk2 Cooling Fan Shroud + non-working Fan
Item condition: Has some surface rust so could do with a strip and paint, but otherwise fine.
Other Info: Will throw in the fan in the pic if you want it. Fan is fine electrically, but doesn't spin freely, so the bearings are shot. It might...
