Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Hi there,
I've been here a few years ago and it looks like I'll be a VW owner once again.
In the past I had a GTI and also an R36, both spectacular cars.
I am currently in a Skoda Octavia RS wagon and it's the most practical, zippy car ever.

All three of these cars have been DSG and I am thoroughly hooked.

I have ordered one of the new Golf R Grid wagons for late 2017.

If any of you need any info about what it comes with, just let me know.

    Cheers,
    Mark Z

Currently driving a 2018 Golf R Grid Wagon (DSG) in Lapis Blue.
My wife drives an i30. She is understandably grumpy.

Have they released any photos of the grid wagons, and what are the available colours? I am trying to decide between golf r grid wagon or I can justify the stretch to r wagon. Moving up from a mk7 Gti

Sorry I didn't check in. Life has been hectic.
Wife has been in and out of hospital, finally got her home last week.

Got my Grid Wagon last Tuesday, in Lapis Blue, darker than I thought.
Didn't know at the time that Tornado Red was available, or I probably would have chosen that.
      Clever me...

Great car so far, been to Wollongong and Goulburn so far and enjoyed it.
I called him Rudi (after my German grandpa Rudolf)
