G'day all,
been browsing/lurking for about a week now as I begin the process of finding the new car for myself, the missus and if the "family planning" goes to plan, a new bub at some time soon. My '97 lancer was a great car when I bought it 13 years ago, but it just doesn't meet our needs like it used to. I think the car shopping is going to be harder than buying a house, but having popped into Bayford Skoda last weekend for a quick look, VW & Skoda are certainly on the potentials list.
No doubt I'll ask a few Q's on the boards over the coming weeks/months (or minutes as soon as my newbie post registers )
Owner of a 2001 Bora V6 4Motion. Was hoping to get some help doing the R32 Exhaust conversion. And perhaps I can shed some knowledge from the experiences I have had with the car so far when it is needed too =)
Hi,
My name is Vishal and on march 22, 2010 i received deliver for my Tiguan 103TDI automatic. Having owned brand new mazda 3 maxx sports automatic since 2005, there is no other subsitute for this wonderfully driving machine which is the Tiguan.
I have done 3040km in a month, thats how much driving i got in 1 months. I have not taken it interstate yet. Its more of driving up the towards the blue mountain and towards wiseman ferry and Gosford country, with my wife and 2 year old daugther. To my amazement the trip computer is stating with all that driving i consuming 6.9Ltrs of diesel.
My biggest drive will come on June 10th, when i have driving all the way to snowy mountain.
But before this iam thinking of putting afermarket DVD player for my daugther (watch barbie), and HID light upgrade. Please could anyone asssist me with this.
thanks
Vishal

My current vehicle is a 1998 Nissan Maxima.
I decided to join this forum as I have found it to be very informative.

I'm new here. I've had a black 4th Gen GTI for nearly 2 years now. It's been great fun. I've lurked here on and off for a while, so thought it's about time I signed up.
Im in the process of buying a VW. I have placed an order in for a GTI 4dr, CSG, 18's, Leather, Sunroof & MDI due to be delivered in August. I am contemplating changing my order to an R. Cant wait for pricing to be released on the R. Thinking the R maybe too much for my budget.
Anyhow i am happy to of found this site. It is very helpful & informative. Stay afe fellow motorists

Hello,
I am not yet a VW/Skoda/Audi owner yet, but I am aiming to be before the end of the financial year. Currently drive a MY05 Subaru Liberty Wagon with mostly cosmetic additions. Originally looking at a Passat R36 Wagon to replace the Liberty, I am now trying to decide between a Golf Wagon 118TSI or a Octavia Wagon vRS to renew my lease.
Cheers

Hello,
I am not yet a VW/Skoda/Audi owner yet, but I am aiming to be before the end of the financial year. Currently drive a MY05 Subaru Liberty Wagon with mostly cosmetic and suspension alterations. Like the Liberty, but the latest version being so cringeworthy in aesthetics led me to look elsewhere, hence a newfound interest in VAG products - wished I had noticed them before this! Originally looking at a Passat R36 Wagon to replace the Liberty, I am now trying to decide if a Golf Wagon 118TSI or a Octavia Wagon vRS stuffed full of options (being 4 cyls) might give a better resale in 3 years time in a new lease. I have already got quite a good bit of info from the Forum about the above VAG cars which will be helpful in making my decision. I love to chat about technical stuff - have pulled cars to bits for most of my 30 year driving history, and love driving - have driven my car at Qld Raceway, and got one of those invites to drive the new GTI at Calder Raceway in Melbourne for the release - what a hoot that was! The only thing I'm going to miss about getting a DSG is the heel and toe-ing.....
Cheers

Hey all. A real newbie here who's just bought an 06 Jetta FSI Turbo. Only got it last night but first impressions from the drive back from traralgon in sheizenhausen weather were great! Good chance to try out those sweet heated leather seats. Not a fan of autos (Its for the Mrs) but this was the nicest i have experienced. I have seen built in sat nav units on ebay that look just like the factory ones, only they are $800 instead of the $4000 factory option. Has anyone got any experience with these?
Cheers,
Darren
