Hey Guys,
I found this forum after doing a little research on DPF deletes, yes, that old chestnut!
I bought a 2009 V10 Touareg in 2012 because I love the idea of it and I tow a boat. It is a fantastic beast and I am desperately trying to turn it into a long term proposition which means a DPF delete.
I went ahead with a tune and remodelled 3 inch exhaust system a few years ago - the Touareg went like the clappers and I was getting better economy from it...
BUT
Within a few months the Engine Warning light came on so I took it back. Not an issue, just sensing the DPF’s.
Now this happens regularly and the guys that did the work do not bother replying to my emails.
The tune was from McChip-DKR in Germany (Austria maybe) and while I have emailed them with a diagnostic report they have not come back to me either. SO, I now have a nice exhaust system but a confused engine management system and that is not good so I am looking for a fix.
Anyone who can help, it would be appreciated.
