Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Only recently joined up to this forum..
Ollie, Irish, 31, been a veedub fan since 2001 when I had my first mk2.
Currently living in Perth and have in the garage a 1994 vr6, but bought with head issues so currently being rebuilt, properly..
Also own an absolutely mint 1991 corrado in a garage back in Ireland

It kills me that I can't bring the rado out unless I get raped by customs and the government. Anyway the vr6 is just going to be stock for now engine wise, can't decide to turbo or just stay n/a on cams and high flow head etc.. it also sits on JOM coilovers, so once the engine is back in, and running, I will be searching for some genuine bbs rs or Schmidt's to tuck up under the arches. Also still searching for a white (if possible) Vento bonnet. For the conversion, as iv owned many dubs over the years, by far the Vento was and always will be my favorite, as I can't find a clean vr6 Vento I settled for the golf as it was mint condition.
The high life and the low life...

You had a MK2 and got rid of it? Sacrilege.

    Welcome to the forum anyway.

There's a rado for sale in the For Sale section and I know of another in Melbourne for sale. Must be common.

    Cheers

    Paul
