Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Reintroduction - new ride

    G'day all,

    I sold my Amarok to a mate and purchased a Mk7.5 Golf Alltrack. I'll change my user name at some stage but I guess that's not overly important.

    The vehicle: MY18 Golf Alltrack Premium. White.
    I bought new wheels. Momo TenS with Eagle F1 tyres 235/40/18.
    I've painted the sideskirts, front lower lip section and rear silver sections Matt black. Changed the mirror caps to fake CF and added dynamic indicators. Fake CF eyelids. Bought new badge covers to black things out and changed a couple of the badges out. Done a bunch of other small changes that would not be noticed by many.

    I've created an Instagram account detailing the changes: golf_alltrack.

    Based in Canberra.

    Nice Alltrack!

    Pick up a 2nd hand IS20 turbo (from somebody who upgraded their GTI), fit it and have it tuned and you will make it Golf R wagon quick.

      Thanks mate, I'll definitely look into a turbo upgrade at some stage. I'm going in for major back surgery in April and won't be doing a lot of driving in the initial months following.

      Going from the Amarok to this makes it feel pretty punchy already. 🤣
