  • NSW Sourcing information from VW

    Hello all seasoned VW owners,

Got my 1st VW & was curious if anyone knows who/where is the best contact to get information on their vehicle? Unfortunately waiting months on a reply from dealer or VW Australia is not working.

    - Planning on using erWin
    - Ordered VCDS

Specifically commercial Amarok V6 tdi 3.0L diesel
    Looking for things like
    - parts list
    - service bulletins / recalls
    - service repair manuals (wiring diagrams)

Also is the V6 TDI a second gen design of the Touareg?

    Thanks,

    Mick

Use erwin for service manuals and I cant remember, but it might also give you part numbers for things like oil filters etc.

Run Auto Parts is a great place to get oil/air/fuel filters etc as well as brake pads & disks etc. Not sure what they have for the V6 Amarok, but they have a decent range for both my cars.

The V6 TDI has been around for a while now, very robust and reliable unit. The main issues with these modern diesels is the emissions gear (EGR's and DPF's). The engine in my SQ5 is a modified version of the V6 in your Amarok.

I highly recommend using this to keep tabs on your DPF as it will potentially save you a headache.

      Hi Lucas_R,

Thanks for the reply. I also downloaded the app the other day. I will see if it works with Autohil Bluetooth unit. If not I will invest in OBdlink mx+. Thanks for the info on parts.
