Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Qld mk7.5 110tsi owner

Hi, thanks for accepting me into the Vw watercooled forum, been a avid reader for a while and decided to join up, I have had amk4 9n3 gti before having the mk7.5 110tsi, I love driving and meeting fellow car enthusiasts especially of the VAG group, looking forward to connecting and learning more about the chat and build threads and one day start modding the newly acquired 110tsi.

Thanks @lucas_R for replying, I am enjoying it so far, it’s a great upgrade from the mk4 polo gti, I do miss it but it was time to move it on, I’m looking forward to starting to modify the 110tsi with either a axle back mk7.5 gti exhaust or something custom, then a pod filter in the box or a cold air intake, upgrade to 18” R line wheels if I can find some decent ones or aftermarket , black mirror caps, might look at doing the Audi dynamic indicators and golf r pedal and dsg gear knob upgrade also, definitely a bit there to keep me busy.

There is a guy in Brisbane on FB marketplace that is selling Carbon look mirror caps and dynamic mirror indicators for MK7/7.5. I just bought a set of mirror caps of him for the 110TSI. PM me, I'll give you his details.

On the intake side, there is no space for a pod filter unless its in a special airbox. MST is the best by far for the MK7.5 1.4TSI.
