  • NT Getting back into the dub life

    Hi all,

I've owned a few VWs before (Type IIIs and one Golf Mk1) - many years ago.

Just picked up an 06 Golf 2.0 FSI for cheap and found this forum looking up fuse diagrams (still looking..).

Turns out I am having some of the classic issues, particularly door locks. One door won't lock and others are playing up, so that's fun! I will follow up with a post about the car later and ask a few questions.

Apart from that, I'm really happy to be back in a Golf, even a beater, and plotting to upgrade before too long. Great to see such an active community.

Welcome back to the VW fold. I hope we can help out with the fixing of things

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

      Thanks, @The_Hawk, me too.

The idea of paying up to $500 per door to get central locking working is just not gonna happen. I'm feverishly searching for tools and parts to get it done myself. Feel a bit insecure with a car that doesn't lock..
