Can passengers pay on the day? My passenger won't find out if he's working that saturday, until the week before the event.2016 Skoda Octavia 162TSI RS Wagon

Thanks for sharing this article. It's a very interesting read. Whilst learning car control I left the "nannies" turned on up to the point where it started slow me down. Now I turn off traction but leave stability on. I'm my mk6 R I could not turn of the esc but with the 86 I can but I choose to leave it in until I gain greater control skills and confidence in the car and my driving. To turn off esc in the 86 I have to perform a "pedal dance" procedure. Google it to see what's involved.

For timed events I turn it off as it needs to move on the track to get the most out of it.Track Car: 06 Polo GTI Red Devil mkII

Yeah, I would agree however for those that have a sport or race setting for the aids, I think that is still the fastest and safest way.
Take, for example, the Ferrari 458. It was demonstrated to be (clearly) quicker round Fiorano with the aids in sport mode than fully off when driven by the same driver (Marc Gene from memory).

Some slip is desirable, well essential in most FWD appliations at least. Though a fast car isn't necessarily a fun car. My car when set-up for a fast lap isn't quite as fun as it can be and requires a little different driving style. I'd usually take fun over fast even when running for lap times.Track Car: 06 Polo GTI Red Devil mkII

sounds like you can get addicted by the prone to slip toyota 86 which is a fun as opposed to hardcore fast lap times car 😀
