Something's not right.. APR stage2+ should be hitting 300+hp

300HP at the crank - drivetrain losses - traction issues on a rolling road - lower dyno values for mainline dynos = 235HP at the front wheels.

      Makes sense to me.

At the engine (crank as team_v says) its probably good for at least 320HP. However with a ~30% drivetrain loss through to the wheels 235HP is quite acceptable.

Maybe do a bit of research on what a rolling road dyno will/should show after drive train losses.

Not to be a **** but 30% drivetrain loss is a bit high, should be more like 15-20%. Also most stage 2 golf r's run around 200kws at the wheels and that's with awd losses. I would expect a stage 2 scirocco to be at least over 200kws atw .Something isn't right...

Agreed, Stg 2 APR Scirrocos make ~220kw at the hubs on APR's hub dyno, regardless that is what it made on the day on that dyno.

This Dyno IMO was running a bit lower than other 'dyno dynamics' that I've been too. That's what happens sometimes, too many variables with these dynos. However, it was a well run event and a fantastic turnout.

At the recent dyno day in Adelaide we had 3 x Sciroccos run (actually 2 but one ran twice with stock and stage 1)

                  Stock: 169kW
                  Stage 1 (DNA): 190kW
                  Stage 2+(APR): 204kW

This was on a very recently calibrated mainline dyno (i.e. calibrated earlier in the week).

I did see some pictures of the dyno day - I didn't see any fan running over the intercooler / radiator / intake? - If you don't have airflow & have heat soak, say goodbye to 20 - 50% of your power.

Maybe one of the attendee's can confirm?

No fan running, it was fairly hot in there.

I believe some of the cars at our recent dyno day got heat soak from "warming up" in the driveway before going on the dyno. Would have been much better to go for a run around the block a couple of times. At least that way the intake temps would have been lower to start with.

As soon as the ECU see's 60 Degrees C, it will start to pull timing & boost big time. If you don't have a fan - then the settling / calibration could see up to 80 degrees C - and that would pull 50kw's out easy.

Always best to log these things if you need your dyno line to actually mean anything

No fans, there would be heatsoak a plenty. ECU will pull boost and timing for sure. That's a compact cell at Leons and def needs the fans on. It makes a huge difference. I suggest you take the Rok to BPS for the next dyno day and see how it goes, be sciroccos and Golfs a plenty that day.
