If anyone has an issue with my presence at these events please let me know, either in pm or in person. Got quite a shock when the QR organizer told me people from here had complained... Anyone who has seen me will know I'm possibly the least intimidating person ever, so not sure why you would go to the organizers without mentioning anything to me first.

This is happy laps people, it's not meant to be serious laps or practice laps, we all need to lighten up. These were more fun at the start in 2011 when the events were more chill and there was more of a mix of cars. I'd love to see some more older dubs out there again instead only mk5 + 6 golfs and polos

Anyway, keen to get out on the track again, see you all there

Wow wut? Last time I saw you on track in your e30 you let everyone past ( afaik), including me. If you had been contacted by*the QR organiser I'm surprised I hadn't been contacted when I was in my uber slow previous ds3. No idea why anyone would complain...

Seeing more variety in euros would be good. It is starting to happen with the 208, c55 and r8 etc however

I dont see a issue if people have a problem they should confront you directly, of course in a nice manner. I had a thing, wouldnt call it a problem or issue a few happy laps ago no big deal at all and all sorted.
We are there to have a good time, eat some breakfast, see some cars, go fast, waste some fuel, nearly hit a rabbit, its all good

Exactly, I'd much rather hear it from other members if they thought I wqs pushing it too hard or in the way or something. Every one is friendly, no one will bite if you talk to them about your worries in a friendly manner.

Anyway yeah, looking forward to this one, have hopefully sorted out a couple of issues with the car, so will be good to finally get it out

Ben, I'd take what QR said with a 'pinch of salt', they may have thought you were someone else.
I don't think anyone has had a problem with anyone at these HL and if they did, its usually sorted out on the forum.
Clay and Machine seem to run a tight ship, so don't stress mate, we all love you, come and drive in circles with us.

They definintely knew it was me, they were mainly concerned about my little off back in March in the wet, and just mentioned other members had concerns or something along those lines. Either way, I've been lucky enough to get another chance, and probably shouldn't go into details about it, so yeah, shall be extra careful from now

I'm also not sure of the context, though Doug had a print out of comments made on the forum going back a few HL's ago and wanted to speak with you. It was the same time he was asking who Machine was for some tongue-in-cheek comments he made on here about drifting the circuit. Fortunately for old mate Machine, Doug realised who the keyboard warrior was, though still strongly reiterated that QR's insurance peeps review the content on here, so anything that may jeopardise the intent of HL's or their insurance will be promptly stomped out. From my perspective, keep the car on the black stuff and all your panels on the car, and it's all smiles (haha, yeah you know what I'm referring to).

If there are concerns amongst, let's keep it amongst us. I'm sure Clay or Ben would to address any concerns if individuals aren't comfortable in doing so.

I think our laps have gotten much safer for all.

Fair enough, guess I might try and have a look back through past happy laps to see what I said, although almost certain if I suggested any rule breaking it would have been in a joking context. Feel free to pm me any more details if you can remember, I would love to know what was actually said at the last one.. everyone seems to know more about what I've done to piss off QR than I do haha

Being relatively new to this little community I can say with all honesty that the way in which we as members treat each other is far better and more "grown-up" then other special interest forums I've been a part of.

Throw into the mix the fact we put of $$$$$ babies on a race track and have a blast around at least once a month together...There is a lot of trust and understanding needed to venture into that sphere.
I believe the long standing members should be applauded for the instilled culture within this forum and the running of Happy Laps especially.
