Great morning guys, thanks for organising. The XR5 is certainly no track car, but it's good to get it out there and clear the cobwebs out every so often.
Why do they have the cones on the track? Minimise top speed on the back straight?
Yeah, the first happy laps session I went to (with boostcruising - tip: don't ever do that) had no cones up the back. Cue old mate in his 11ty billion hp VR4 Galant going flat through that section, and then managing to find the wall in about 5 different locations....
cones or not i think common sense has alot to do with it, drive to your and your cars ability but then take it down abit for happy laps. Not many people have common sense anymore which is a shame.
But again other groups wreck it for the ones that do the right thing, soon they will not have them which will be a huge shame for us

Thanks for organising Ben! Was a great morning, one of my most enjoyed so far actually. My car felt really well setup today. A big congratulations to the Peugeot driver (sorry I don't know your name mate), you've improved a ridiculously huge amount over the past 3 happy laps an your lines look really good as far as I can tell
Thanks for a great day Ben, will definitely miss this... Good luck with the sprints and we'll chat soon.
Agree with Jed, you've come along in leaps and bounds, really impressive.
thanks guys for the encouragements! as with everything, practice makes perfect. but i am still far from being a race car drive (doubt will ever be LOL) and will do my best to drive well, follow the race lines and be safe on track

I had thought the next thread would be up at 6pm on Monday, as per usual. Clay's organising it, so I guess everyone just needs to sit tight.
I think I promised some video footage, but I'm on holidays and kinda lazy, so my apologies, but I won't be uploading anything. Yes, I suck.
Love you guys

OK guys, the pics have uploaded. I had to convert a third of them from RAW to JPEG, I forgot to change the setting on my camera I asked Dad to use along with his. I don't know if photobucket will change the order/layout of photos but all the first page except for the last row are converted RAW images so they might be a little better quality. It seems Dad found the spot where APEX were when they photographed us a few months ago.
