VWW SA Coffee and Drive Events calendar dates for next 2 months:


DYNO DAY

• Date: Saturday 3rd November , 8:00am for 8:15am start
• Location: Graham West Workshop 668 Marion Rd, Park Holme

CRUISE

• Date: Sunday 23 September 7:30am (Meet/Coffee), 8:00am (Cruise)
• Start Location: Taylor Blend Cafe, Hallet Rd Stonyfell at 7:30am for an 8:00 depature
• Route: Taylor Blend Cafe to Willunga via Mount Lofty and Clarendon

I don't think tigger73 organised it, but these events are run semi-regularly - I believe they have a Facebook page (no good for me as I refuse to subject myself to it).

Anyway, if there is enough interest I'd be keen to do a bit of a VWW meet. The other states seem to have their act together, time for us to do the same? I don't mind organising it if people want to do stuff like this - next month is a bit full but free after that..

Yes you're right I don't organise just repost off the Facebook page in case any VWW want to tag along. It's an SA hot hatch group so open to anything hot or hatch and mostly euro focus.

Agree it would be good to have an excuse to meet up semi-regularly.

Weekend days are tough, as people are busy, and there's not that many SA members who watch the Social Club section.

Would anyone be interested in doing an evening meet and cruise on an ongoing basis... say something like the first Tuesday of the month, for instance?

Agreed - although there is a decent SA contingent that seems to read the social club section AFTER the event.

I'm probably a lot more flexible on weekends and they favour the country drives, but I would still be interested in a semi-regular weeknight gig as well. As you suggested a fixed time makes it easy to plan for - if the interest isn't there then it could be bi-monthly or quaterly or whatever - can always work it out later.

I suppose one thing that may impact mid-weekers more than weekends is the time/location as well. Just depends where everyone is coming from.

I'd be really interested in a little of both. The cruises for me these days are exactly that very cruisey (no hot hatch here). However I'd just like to start out with a gather / meet / coffee somewhere one evening just to guage the interest level.

Any other night other than Tuesday is good for me. Suggest somewhere central and ideally with a carpark where our cars can meet. Just a suggestion is Hilton hotel on cnr Sir Donald Bradman/South Rd.

Sounds like a starting point at least, count me in for something. Would be good if we can get a small VWW group together, but for numbers/interest sake can open it to others as well. I'd vote for keeping it fairly small to keep it manageable, to avoid drawing excess attention and makes it easier to say g'day to everyone. Finally, hope we can get a nice variety of VAG vehicles as well.

So my vote would be for Caffe Cena (I like the fact we can sit and look out at the cars). On a wednesday night at 7:30pm (I think I read that someone who was keen couldn't make Tuesdays).

So next would be 1st May (as people might be going away for the ANZAC day holiday).
