I've been totally alone the last two events (Golf GT and then Polo GTI) so I had a great time, maybe the traffic is bad for the fast cars because they're all around the same level of power?

Well my coilovers arrived and get fitted Friday. So with a tune booked for next month it will be good to see how the car handles the track at the May happy laps.

Yes, but the exceptions are why you start with the driver

There are AWD drivers not interested in pushing the car and there are well-set-up FWD and RWD cars whose drivers will drive circles around a modified WRX STI. Where am I going with this? I forget...anyway, start with the driver and his/her ability/experience/intentions.

If someone steps up and organises a QR event, that should alleviate some of the spots filling up so fast (says a sad little GTI 9 spots back in the reserve list).

Just to join the ranks of the agitators, why is it everyone modifies their cars in the hope of it going faster, instead of modifying their driving abilities by taking some advanced training in order to drive any car they pilot better than nine tenths of the sweaty masses?
