    Yup. RE grouping the cars, I thinking grouping the cars on driver experience or rough lap times (though appreciate we aren't out there to do a lap time) is the safer method rather than FWD or AWD grouping, etc.

    Our most enjoyable days are when all are circulating at a similar pace, and lakeside is a more sensitive circuit when there is a variance in pace as there's only one place to pass.

        Yeah, by driver is probably a better way of doing it, having said that, most of the AWD's are quicker and then we have the few exceptions (Nat, Alan, Sean etc)

          Yes, but the exceptions are why you start with the driver

          There are AWD drivers not interested in pushing the car and there are well-set-up FWD and RWD cars whose drivers will drive circles around a modified WRX STI. Where am I going with this? I forget...anyway, start with the driver and his/her ability/experience/intentions.

                I'm happy with current format. Remembering its Happy Laps!
                Grouping/sorting will only make less enjoyable! It's not a race and most of the cars are daily drivers.
                Track management will also frown on the "timed" approach as well.
                Just my 2c's worth.

                            I thought you were already talking about organising the QR Happy Laps, yourself?. In my best upper class British accent (shame we're 4th generation dirt poor Irish),

                            And I think Lakeside is already pretty heavily booked, so getting an additional session booked there might be harder than finding a drug free footy player in a nightclub.

                            "My wife and I" would happily-lappily give up our place on the main list for a shot at QR, and just come to Lakeside for the photo opportunity (it's Art Prize season)

                            Just something to consider.....
