I don't know what the definition of "allow" is, but there always seems to be cars with passengers in them. Including yesterday a couple of desperates in, respectively, a 200sx and a Supra, who couldn't bear having a Polo ahead of them, so did the full-power, down-the-straight overtake only to discover the limits of their braking ability and spin at turn 1. I fail to see how the poor passenger/GF is going to be at all impressed, especially when the Polo pootles by, and stays firmly on the track all day.

The rules say passengers are only for "training purposes" and say "No joy rides"... but then they seem pretty layed back there.
The only issue is that both driver and passenger need to be registered for the day, so $110 + Wakefield lic (if you don't already have one)
Was a good day for me too, enjoyed putting a few faces with names. Timbo and Macca, much respect for both your driving and your Polo's. Very nice kit you have there.
For me, I have changed out the filter and oil today and just a scan, seems I need a new lamda probe which apparently means I'm running too lean. I also need a new water pump.
While I'm at it I'm looking at an oil cooler kit as well to help keep those temps down. Hopefully will be out there again at the end of May with some mates from the Torana Club
When it happens I'll put up some details, maybe we can get a few VW boys to show them how it's done.

To all who missed out it was a great day yesterday- nice to meet Timbo, MACCAA and Aaron and find out how more experienced players have tweaked their VWs for better performance and handling on-track.
It was also a typical 'quiet' day at Wakefield, with maybe 10 cars maximum on track during the street car sessions, and by the last session of the day I think I was lapping almost by myself after the boys in the Japanese cars headed off.
It was great to have a convoy of Polos at one stage, especially having the opportunity to follow MACCAA & Timbo and appreciate how flat their cars corner compared to the titanic-like body roll that comes with stock suspension.
Of course that convoy almost made for a titanic-like collision as we all rounded the corner at the start of the straight to find a yellow 200SX parked across the track and in no hurry to get out of the way. At least his paint would have matched mine...
Ended up running 1:15.9 as the best lap for the day, which I was pretty happy with given it was my first run in the car which is still stock bar the APR remap and bigger brakes.
I've only been on the forums here for about 3 weeks and already have met some great people who share common interests, so to all who didn't make it this time I strongly recommend joining us the next time around.
