Wakefield Park "Speed off the Streets" track day

The Wakefield Park Calendar has been updated! Wednesday 12th March is on as a Speed off the Streets Day!

Short of blowing something up between now and then I'm going. We have had a few other who have expressed interest. At last count:

It's been on the cards for months, so all those who are able, come and have some fun! If people enjoy it we can go again later in the year and the best bit is you will already have your license!


So step on up and confirm your attendance.

For those that are coming I will organise a meet up point so we can all cruise out that way together. We need to get Golf Loon to come along as "Official VWWC Pit Crew" (by which I mean someone with spare parts in his van)... that and it would be fun to see the van go round the track

Hows the Sirocco coming along? Will it be ready for this one?

Not sure bout this day. I'm going to Wakefield on the 24th and EC on 4th March, and in Melb the 15/16 March for the F1. So as you can see I've got a busy couple of weeks

This sounds nuts, but I'm too scared to race my car yet..sheesh, only 3 months on the road and i'm being tempted by track days, haha...

it doesn't cost to watch does it? I'd love to come along, even if I did drive mine up, just for the fun - it would be a mad laugh!

There is slow and there is slow. I have seen a stock Hyundai Accent screaming round the track, minus the hib caps for wieght reduction

I'll have to dig up the video/pics of a stock 199x Dihatsu Charade, Auto, 1.3L going round.

It's not about being the fastest, it's about beating your own best and having some fun.
