  • Wakefield Park "Speed off the Streets" track day

    DATE CONFIRMED!

    Date: Wednesday 12th* March 2008

As per the previous thread here:

The "Speed off the Streets" days are non booked event where you just turn up and hope for the best. One of the main reasons I picked a weekday over a weekend is that there are far less people there. It's possible (although unlikely) that we turn up and 5,000 other people are there. Unfortunately there is no way to know until the day, worst case we go on a cruise somewhere, but I don't think it will come to that.

    SPEED OFF THE STREET DAYS

o Drive your own street car $110.00 per day or road bike $120 per day (week days)
o Australian Autosport Alliance licence $50.00 (annually)
o Helmet hire available for $20 per day with a $50 Deposit
ET RACING FUEL available now from the bowser.
CAFÉ OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

How long is a piece of string?Numbers vary, but pretty much without exception as the day goes on,people run out of tyres/brakes/fitness/ability and you end up with a pretty clear track after lunch...

Yep and Yep. Dates for this year are still to be confirmed but they *should* be following the same sort of calendar as last year (or so I'm told).

I have updated the listing in the first post. Of course everyone is subject to change at the last minute, but it will be good to see a few VW's out there on the day.

Can we move this to Motorsport maybe? hhmmmm I *might* be doing an eastern creek day on the 4th March, but that will prob be a bday present. I was also planning on going to the F1 again this year. Will have to wait and see. Would love to do 2 track days in 3 weeks

The Wakefield Park Calendar still isn't updated into March, but looking at the February calendar it seems the "speed off the streets" days are now Monday and Thursday with private days on Wednesdays.

I will wait for confirmation of those days, but that then makes the day either Monday the 10th of March or Thursday the 13th of March.

Monday would make it a long weekend for everyone! Thursday could make it a LONG LONG weekend for people if they work it right! Eitherway I will finalise the day in the next week or so but I am still aiming for that week.

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.
