One option we can play with for next time is splitting the group so say for hte first 10 minutes the slower cars go out, then the second 10 minutes everyone is out, then the last 10 minutes the slower cars come in so everyne gets 20 minutes out there but also 10 minutes of limited traffic....

Seeing if Lakeside will let us have 40 minutes instead of 30 so we can have 2 x 20 minute sessions.

The 2X 20 min sessions sound good for summer. I can usually feel my tyres start to let go around the 15min mark and brakes at about 20-25min mark. In winter 30 min would still be good though. If I'm honest, I found that the number of cars and driver skill seemed to be perfect in Decemeber's one. Maybe if someone can recall how many people were at the December one? I'm thinking it was something like 26-27 cars. I'm not sure I really like the idea of the 10 min for slow cars and 10 min all out and then 10 min for fast cars. Getting on and off the track would be a nightmare me thinks, and it would rely a lot on drivers keeping and eye on the clock unless the lakeside peeps put up a light or something to indicate to the slow cars to come in.

There was only 19 cars for the December one.
It worked really well as everyone who came along had similar experience out there and drove at pretty similar speeds.



I agree with the splitting te group in the 30 minute session so am trying to see if they will let us have 2 x 20 minute sessions instead to make it easier to keep everyone happy and easy to operate.

chances are people won't notice 20 minutes had passed unless you had someone waving a big flag or something, I couldn't believe how fast 30 minutes went at the last one, thought we had been pulled in early even.. time flys when your having fun. still, I'd be happy enough to do just twenty minutes if you can organise it that way

I'd be happy if we could work it (and I get off the reserve list).
If the drive started at 8:30 slower cars get off at 8:50...set an alarm on ya phone?
Flag could be better? .... not experienced in racing....so i will bow to the more knowledgeable.

Okay so i just got off hte phone with Lakeside and they said they can't do the 2 x 20 minute sessions.
Apparently we could do it at QR as they have more relaxed time and noise restrictions but at Lakeside they can't start too early so they are strictly limited to 30 minute happy laps.

So we're back to square one.

A simple solution to this is to have a QR Happy laps as well!
