hey guys,
As I am a really new dubber went along to the last one with a few ppl I know from work that is how I found out about it and also to the meet, socialize and see the weapons ppl brought to the track day it was a good day had by most and as I have only just brought my car a few months ago it is still pretty stock ( MK3 golf with some new enkei rims and rubber everything else is stock besides the stereo ) I knew it would be a slow day for me seeing as though i was maybe one of the 3 or 4 non turbo cars at the track.
after about 5 or 6 laps I could feel everything starting to give and had let a number of cars pass by pulling to the far left on the straight or when I could, they knew they were faster than I and as a fellow motoring enthusiast know the basics of road / track had my fun and didn't want to break the car as I knew it had reached it limit so on the next lap pulled in and got some pictures and video on my phone.
Still had a great time introduced myself to a few ppl pushed it a little on the track ( it was my 1st ever track day. Been down the 1/4 heaps though
) but it was still good to see that even though I was a newbie and didn't know the track it wasn't met with bad attitude everyone was willing to welcome me into the group no matter what you drove or how fast i guess what I'm trying to say after reading all this is it is a good way to welcome new members into the VW/euro scene those ppl that want to really test their metal might be an idea to get into more serious events ( Time attack etc )
Just a though don't want to step on anyone's toes and I hope I did the right thing and let you pass me
Andy
