Right guys. I think that this might have gone too far.

I was making the point that Shakey should come on here preaching about his/her moral ethics just because it would get the most attention. I got fired up because it sounded a lot like a Vw Watercooled bashing-session on the premise that Vw Watercooled organised the event. I see Shakeys point of view, I might for example find elite Chinese business people offensive because I have audited factories that they own and run that have children in them and the standard work issue clothing is a bag of rags. Do I preach about it on AliBaba? No, I take it up with the business and then would refuse business with them.

Personal attacks are not warranted. I said ".....before you open your trap" because it was in the heat of the moment. I didn't write what I was thinking when the more personal attacks came out but hey, I'm pretty thick skinned and I think I'll get over it

Last night at a local show with my god kid by my side we came accross a factory v8 early holden with a Eco-tec v6 converion and bob jane chromies.
There is two ways to deal with this:
a). Be so offended and worried that he may think its acceptable to do conversions like this in a old school car. I now think the professionalism of the organisors is in the dumps because they let cars like this not only into there show but be in the custom car scene altogether.
b). Say nice work to the owner and continue walking.

I went with b. even if its something I wouldn't do personally its what makes the owner happy.

At the end of the day at every show there will be things that aren't exceptable for children, from models walking around half naked promoting a business, people drinking alcohol, men wearing there football shorts from thirty years ago thinking they are still in great shape, fake wheels and bad offset......etc.. but these things should not be a reason to bag out a organisor of a show or specific car scene.

It's amazing how much work goes into setting up a show let alone in melbournes struggling car scene, I have massive respect to anyone who takes the time to do so, hopefully they stay at it and it keeps getting bigger for them.
