I own the silver Mk3 with the blow up doll known as Suzzie, she had been to most VW events with me. Im sorry that you found this offensive and would have been more than happy to throw her in the boot. Bit of a jock and im sure people can explain to their kids its a joke. Just like a clothes model in a shop window.

I didnt see the sticker but im sure there is worse around. Fore example I was at Melbourne central and there was a lady with a shirt saying: "Can you lend a hand with an orgasm".... Hmmmm have you had a look at TV or any socical media these days. There is "smut" everywhere, have you seen the way some people dress these days, iv seen more boobs and leg this week just walking than I do at a night club.

No one way swearing, taking drugs, fighting or having intercourse at the show, no religion or BS. Much safer than your local school yard, train station or shopping centre.

As someone who helps with the show all feedback is wanted.

Just one more thing Bflat. You say nobody has the right to be protected from offensive content. You also mention I have a narrow point of view. I suggest that this page itself is sensored. It's done so because the average, honest & law abiding citizens that began this site however long ago decided that this was the correct and ethical thing to do. That's why I can't type the word **** and ****. At the beginning of this forum..there are rules & regulations. We must abide by them otherwise we could be banned or removed. Just like sensorship rules, Privacy Act and many other rules that we live with everyday. For without them we have KAOS. We have mayhem with poor morals and ethics.

Fair point. It's true that there are safeguards put in place by some, however don't expect the world to hold your hand forever. In relation to the matter with the parent and his daughter; regardless of whatever safeguards are put in place, there is ALWAYS the chance of being exposed to offensive content. It's impossible to mitigate entirely against such risk. It's his responsibility as a parent to manage said risk at the time. There are always going to be cracks in the system.

Shakey... I'm friends with almost everyone that was at the show. including the owner of the car with the sex doll in the passenger seat and the car with the ****ing classy sticker on the windscreen. My car was the white Jetta with no stickers, no sex dolls. Was my car offensive to you? Your initial point is valid. Some of the things you saw weren't your taste, and as a human being you have the right to say so. but to slander everyone who entered a car and/or a member of the forum... get really buddy!

With your attitude towards this situation i strongly believe that you should not come to anymore shows, you might see a t-shirt with "I HEART VAG" on it.

Shakey, I appreciate your comments and feedback. I am unhappy that you first; took it out on a public forum without trying to resolve the issue privately, or secondly; that you didn't approach any one on the day with your concerns.

I appreciate your concerns, and agree that they are valid. However, nor me or my team can be held responsible for individuals actions.This is afterall, a free world.
As you mentioned, this was a public place. Another public place is a cafe: If you walked past an open street cafe and over heard a "smutty" story, or bad language, would you take the issue up with the cafe owner, or the person telling the story and being offensive?
There is a clothing brand called FCUK, there are tampon ads on TV at all hours neither of which any 8 year old needs to know about. Eventually children will be exposed to this sort of language or behaviour in a public place - don't even start me on what you can find on google!

If you had raised the issue on the day, Suzie would have no doubt been put in the boot. Unfortunately we can't go back in time, and there is nothing that can be done about it, which makes your public chastising of the situation somewhat confusing to me. I could understand if you feel you needed to 'mention' and issue, but from your tone I feel this was not your intention.

I am offended by some of your statement, as I feel it was an unfounded personal attack on myself.

If this is your lasting impression of the show, I feel that you have somewhat missed the point of the show, and I'm sorry that you feel that way. As you're missing out on being part of a really great community.

If this is your attempt at holding a car show for VW fanatics, then you won't see me at the next one. Unless you remove these Imbeciles and create some professionalism with your meetings...I won't be back. This sort of behaviour is not acceptable especially being held in a public place which can be viewed by young inocent children who have been brought along by mum or dad. I hope this message rings bells to these unprofessional charators!

If you're going to have a crack at a community of car enthusiasts who are from what I've seen a really friendly and sensible bunch of people over a blow up doll and a "swear word", nobody wants you there anyway. The fact that you are willing to judge a group of people on something so trivial rather than actually having a conversation with them speaks volumes about you. Kids are going to see things in society every day that may not be what is considered "age appropriate" by your standards, it's part of growing up.

Get off your high horse and stop acting like everyone should be conforming to your set of values.

I don't read for 3 days and wow look at all the crap going on.

I would suggest all to stop replying and commenting, or this 'saga' of somebody's opinion will continue and become a battle.

Jarred has spoken and fairly taken your comments on board but also explained himself. And i see things at a lot of shows and i am sure i have attended more shows than you know of for VW/Audi including overseas!

So as much as you may find someones actions immature, inconsiderate or inappropriate i think its a consensus of speaking to the organiser at the time and discuss your concerns. I think everyone understands your concerns and clearly you are getting a lot of negative responses and also positive at the same time.

Leave it be, accept and do not return to another show if such an issue for you. People go to the shows to have fun, not to become a nun.

I am disappointed we missed out, hopefully be there for the next one!
