Renault Car Club Breakfast Happy Laps - Queensland Raceway - 14th October 2012
I can't count how many times I've watched the lap beginning at 19:30. It's funny, flattering and endearing hearing someone talk about you and your car in a positive way.
haha yup, i was complimented about my decent line taking once again at 7:40 I thought the commentary was pretty good from this guy's video (I believe his name is James).

Mine is auto! (A really crappy ancient 4-spd slushy as well :'( so depressing when the non-turbo DS3 only comes to Australia as an automatic ) But it has manual shifting available at least.
Thank you very much for the advice, would you recommend left foot braking at all? Personally I didn't see the point as it isn't turbo, but I thought it might be good for a quicker exit from the corner as the accelerator is already being depressed. My brakes seem to cope fine at QR, probably down to the fact that I don't reach a very high speed and also the car is fairly light (~1050kg).
Photos and spectator pov videos will be up in the next few days too.
you can try, but I wouldn't foresee you'd be gaining anything tangible (particularly without a lap timer to measure your gains/losses). You'd potentially be risking unbalancing the car for the bees-whisker in time difference. Focus on looking around the corner, seeing where the exit is and the next braking marker, getting the nose into the apex. But without a timer and segments, it's impossible to gauge improvements.
Maybe next time I'll bring the fiesta out for a laugh - that'd give you a good point of reference I'd imagine. But my interest would last about 3 laps... lol.

Slightly off topic so sorry but we need numbers for the upcoming dyno day this Saturday, we would love to see a few Renaults there so please support this event, we have 18 cars booked but we need 30 to 35 to make it worth while.

Oh, now things are getting interesting...do I get free install and dyno before and after? Let's not hijack this thread. We'll deal with our dealings like civilised gentlemen behind closed doors in the private message forum.

Yes you get free install. But you will only get 1 run, so you need to pick either before or after.
Nice driving man. 4 days was worth it, the 1080p looks great. I like the lines you take, similar to mine
Although it must get a bit annoying having such a good car when there are slow poke cars out there like mine or some of the clios and others. Also what does the number in the top right of the telemetry stuff mean?

If there weren't slow cars, I'd have no one to overtake!
You mean the countdown timer? That ends with a segment time. The laptimer did segments automatically based on the track. I have yet to play with all the settings...

Damn, will have to wait till I get home for a looksy, work has blocked youtube.
My time of 1.06 I mentioned was on a different track format, so they aren't comparable. The 1.06 time is from running down the back straight with the essess/hairpin, then on to the front straight, so following the outside of the track. I've only done that format you guys did in my subaru years ago. I actually quite like that track format you did compared to the others. It's less power oriented.

I prefer the national circuit

Once or if I do a front mount and dump pipe on my car, I probably will to.
