We came, we saw, it rained, then rained some more.
So we took some pictures in the rain before heading off to Rhodes shopping centre for some parking lot photos.
Note to me, remember that the built in flash is rubbish and find the tripod instead, lots of the photos are dark, but can be touched up. If anyone wants a CD of the originals, PM me, or if you just want one or two in full res, PM the file name and I can email them to you.
I have uploaded all the photos if people want to view them here:

Otherwise here is a couple for the click lazy:

Great afternoon/night. It was pouring most of the afternoon in the carpark, and it was a good thing a few brought out umbrellas. Met George in his Mk5 Jetta for the first time, and got together again with some of the regulars.
We went to Rhodes after a good clothed shower to take the excellent shots you see here by Aaron (love the one as your wallpaper). Raymond with his B5 Passat and Pierre in his Mk4 GTI came by as well. Had a bit of a thought about doing an NRMA ad skit (you know, the one with the trolley) but thought twice about it haha.
Some of us went for dinner at Auburn RSL (all-you-can-eat buffet - Louis definitely got his money's worth) and then left for Homebush again for some night shots. A few security guards actually doing their jobs came by in their little urban 4WDs to tell us to keep our cars in the parking lanes. Pretty funny really, they just came out of nowhere. Louis took the rest of the pics with his film camera so we're waiting to see how they've turned out!
Again, it was a great session of hanging out and catching up. Doing something like this regularly would definitely be in the works!
