Queensland Raceway Happy Laps (v.9) 29-09-12 Breakfast
If you look at QR's calendar it shows us at QR 12:30 - 1:00pm for "Lunch Laps".
I hope this is the case cos then I can do both lol
Ok - here's the deal. QR admitted that they made a blue, and gave me three options (not sure why WE were given the options and not Downshift, but I imagine it would have something to do with the numbers attending!). These were the options:
1. Keep it at Lakeside Park for breakfast on 29th
2. Change to lunchtime laps at QR on 29th
3. Change the date (and earliest was October-ish)
As we do a month about LP and QR, I preferred to keep September's session at QR, so I pressed them to give us the lunch time spot at the breakky price, and they agreed. So now it is booked for lunch time laps - I hope that doesn't exclude anyone due to the time change. I can only apologise for the confusion (even though it wasn't my doing). At least a lunch time session won't mean having to get up with sparrows to get out to QR...
I will amend the details in the first post in the thread.

I chose second option!!! Change to lunchtime laps at QR on 29th!!! thanks
Arron, I got a friend with Polo 1.2 TSi who will be coming.. can you put him in the main list if not the backup list please?
by the way, How's Hong Kong?
Steve - I'll put him on the reserve list - having a Polo, is he a Forum member??
HK was great! I checked out the shops you recommended in Hak Po St at Mong Kok - bought some bits and pieces for Skoda and the other car in the garage (Jazz), and also went to Broadway while in Mong Kok and bought a Nikon flash for my DSLR $200 cheaper than here. I then went to Happy Valley and checked out Targa Racing - they were putting a Carbon diffuser on a Mk VI GTI on the hoist when I went there, they had mufflers, coil-overs, engine bits everywhere! It was like being a kid in a lolly shop - thanks for the tips! I couldn't get over the length of the trains - they were enormous and the fact that they were filled like sardines most times was mind blowing...I'll be going back again with an emptier suitcase next time!
No, he's not yet. He is a lazy prick plus running to APR almost everyday to check if the map is out yet for his 1.2
I be going over to Hong Kong for 2weeks mid October and 1week in UK for parts.
About Happy Lap, I rather we keep Lakeside as it is, and Just change next one as QR. Plus lunch time will be hotter, not as fun for us Turbo Cars.

first thing of the morning best suits me as it's minimal impact on the day and doesn't matter whether it's lakeside or QR. I should still be right to join, though will see how I'm travelling closer to the date.
But certainly appreciate that you needed to make a decision one way or another.
Will be interested to get feedback on how the Downshift sessions go. 60mins is a very long time to circulate, will be keen to see the driving style, numbers and vehicles out there. Suppose they won't run timing to.

I have been told Downshift will have 100 cars out there so it's probably going to be just like my daily commute to work... Raging at all the slow incompetent people doing 20km under the limit

uhh, i missed that bit. That's laughable. Not sure how they can enforce that, but poor form to suggest it.
Sounds like powercruise on a regularly basis... may appeal to some, but not me.
