It looks like a few people were caught out on turn 4 (first left hander), 10:11 Part 2. I know I was very close to going off on the opening lap haha.

Hey Nat your lines are pretty good mate. Corner entry and apex appears pretty well spot on across all corners and hairpins, though if may suggest youre not unwinding enough steering lock as you go post apex and back on the throttle. If you can allow the car to throttle steer out of the corner, running wider, back on the throttle earlier you'll be carrying much more speed out. It also takes some work off the tyres.Track Car: 06 Polo GTI Red Devil mkII
Daily: 2010 VW Jetta Highline
Gone but not forgotten: 08 Polo GTI

yeah I was not unwinding the steering enough on some corners post apex point, some were to avoid getting closer to the car in front (stone chips and safety)... but I need more track hours to achieve consistencyMitsubishi Pajero Sport - Super Select 2WD/4WD

It all comes with time, trusting yourself and the car. Usually more time is lost on corner entry, going too deep under brakes, missing apex, though you look pretty well sorted for that. Corner exit speed will follow naturally as you get on the throttle sooner.
Or buy a playstation/Xbox and a racing set up, great fun and can learn quite a few little tricks and techniques.Last edited by seangti; 01-10-2012, 09:38 PM.Track Car: 06 Polo GTI Red Devil mkII

Enjoy! Can be very scary the first time out. I wouldn't worry about the ESP (except if it takes the fun away). When I turn my ESP/TCS off, it turns itself back on again 10 minutes later
Whoever at Citroen thought that was a good idea is retarded.

I like watching your lines though. I think I know what to do next time out. You and I can hopefully get some kind of rivalry going...or at least play cat and mouse. You be Tom, I'll be JerryClick or tap --> MY13 CW Golf R | Manual | ACC (deleted) | 19" Black Talladegas (sold) | Satnav-Dynaudio

This is a serious safety issue as cars exiting pit lane have no where to go if you happen to drive into that lane at the wrong time.
Now I realize the QR staff did not state this in the briefing like they normally do.
Keep in mind that track officials (usually) black flag anyone who does this.
Please see this for what it is... A friendly reminder about the rules & safety at the track as I don't want to see any of us get hurt out there.Golf R Mk6 2011 | Coming soon - APR ECU Tune | HPA DSG Stage 2 | Haldex Race Controller | APR Complete Exhaust System | Tarmac CAI | APR FMIC | APR HP Fuel Pump | Manifold Runner Flap Delete | HI-FLO Air Charge Pipe | HI-FLO Turbo Discharge Pipe | NEUSPEED Power Pulley Kit | OKD Ignition Coils | Neuspeed RSB + SB Links | Supaloy Alloy Control Arms | Billet Aluminum Oil Filter Housing |
