It certainly adds another layer of interest to the event if you can compare times with the in-car video to see where you make up or lose time.
As it's just been happy laps so far i have been lifting off at the kink and then gliding through to the hairpin but like you said, when pushing against the clock/others every bit of go time is valuable.
