It starts at 7:30 then we drive around 8, have breakfast at 8:30 and we're all done by about 9 so it isn't too bad.
      Cheers, looking forward to it!

tyre pressures - I'd suggest at least 4psi over factory recommended, if not 6-8psi over is what I run on trackdays. It'll protect the tyre side walls and make the car more progressive should you over cook it in to a corner.
all wheel nuts are done up
all fluids, try ensure they are on the full indicator, particularly engine oil levels
Clear crap out of your car. windscreen mounted gps units inclusive

THE_EGG - i've done lots of sprint events, feel free to come find me for a chat before going out. I'll be in a silver polo.
Hey seangti, when you say at least 4psi over factory rec., do mean when the tyre is cold or warm? I'll will probably go to bp and change mine to 3psi over that way it can expand a little once my tyres have warmed up.

Also thanks for offerring to chat, I'll try and meet up with you there.

37-39psi cold, then u will be fine. this will help reducing the sidewall flex, hence less torture to the thread edges.

            • Tyre pressures always quoted cold. Of course that is academic in Australia, where the temperature can swing 30 degrees during the day.

just stick 5 psi in them. I'll put a pressure gauge in my car now, Silver S3 and you can check them before you go out if you like.

Cheers, but no need to. Dad remember he has a air compressor in his car so I'll use it. Thanks anyways!

Good old french cars, the tyre label is in french haha.

                        • Can't wait. Yeah, it's raining here also, but these things are generally on unless the track is flooded. I went to go to a Happy Laps a few weeks ago and it had really been raining and the end result was one corner totally underwater, and that tunnel you drive through to get to the track was flooded also.

I assume it is still on, just gotta drive a little easier...

                          • Unless there is pools of water on the track we should be good to go.
It stopped raining here about 30 minutes ago and we are 30 minutes south of the track.

Haven't heard from QR so assume it's on as the weather was like this the first time then it fined up and the track dried off.

See you all out there in an hour.

                              • Car absolutely ****ed it self half way there, waiting for a tow truck now. Luckily it happened on the way and not on the track, and the road was empty. Looks like a brake caliper/carrier/bolt broke
