Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

      Another great day out and very well organised thanks to Clays hard work. Many thanks.

      I needn't have worried about running out of fuel towards the end whilst stuck in a mkVI sandwich, the 20kms till empty was based on the consumption I was using, so another dozen hard laps would have still got me to the servo, I think. Was awesome hearing the rs4 and c63 opening up.

          Was another fun few laps. Took it very easy, for two mains reasons:

          1 - Wore the wrong shoes, so most of the time I thought I had my foot to the floor, the side of my shoe was actually catching on the plastic beside the accelerator pedal. Thought there was something wrong with my car. Felt like a right dimwit when I finally realised what was wrong.

          2 - Forgot to fill up before heading out and started the laps with only about 1/4 tank of fuel. Used nearly all of it!! After the laps I made it to the nearest BP with 0km left on the trip computer.

          Nevertheless, had a good time and it was good to take it easy, have a chat to my passenger, and be overtaken by some pretty sweet sounding GTI's and R's.....

            I was wondering why you were taking it easy out there.
            I was expecting the red beastie to hammer after it's add ons and wondered what was going on.


            Going to call up tomorrow morning to book a time for the next one so keep an eye out on the events section for ver. 4 everyone.

              And Toby, me too what wondering what was going on when I up your backside and overtook o_O (PS was it you on Maundrel Terrace doing a U turn for Shell servo?)

              I used just under half a tank, the petrol light came on, on the 2nd last lap

                I set the trip meter to 0 when we started.
                Finished at 47.5 (lakeside is approx 2.5km per lap)
                So I ended up doing 19 laps.

                Also, fuel economy for the event was 20l/100km

                            lol! Among other 23 videos I have. I'm pretty sure I had one passing your DS3 and another one ready to pass but the happy laps has ended!
