Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I've updated the list with everyone so far.

Only 4 more Euro spots left until we hit the limit.
If the Lotus crew don't get back to us we can see what we do with their spare spots in March.

I'd like to go if there's spots available. Will be with my Dad so pace will be slower and hopefully not piss anyone else off.

I'll add you to the list Dom.
Just try to keep the overtaking to the straights, having said that there was only 2 times in your video i noticed the corner overtakes (one very close to the end where you went inside the Grey Golf R).

Thanks for letting me know the numbers though

                        No worries.
Everyone knows how quick your clio is now so they are more likely to move over and let you past on the straight anyway.

I noticed that people that where caught on the back section then wanted to drag down the straight rather than let people pass. So then people would try and pass under brakes at the end of the straight which I think was the problem people are complaining about. If someone catches you it makes sense to me to let them pass and then chase them. If they pull away they are obviously quicker. If you watch their lines and braking points and you might pick up something.

If someone caught me across the back section like Dom (so quick, laughed when the safety car tried to chase you down, I have it on video), I'd roll out of the accelerator on the straight to let them pass easily. I didn’t see the point of racing to the corner. So I didn't have any problems with people trying to pass under braking.
                            I agree with this completely.
