Thanks for the interest guys.
I have updated the list in the first post so we can tell how close to 30 people we have.
Unfortunately the limit is 140km on the straight but as Don pointed out you don't have any safety requirements and it's only $30 including food so if you want to do more then you'll have to upgrade to a track day.
This is basically just some fun without having to worry about police, some good food, great friends and a few laughs.
Please also let me know if you are bringing anyone with you because the 30 person limit is based on catering/food not the number of cars minimum.

i'm going to the fooies too... what time is the expected finish clay?
I'll check with the people at QLD Raceway today but the track time will only go until around 1pm then you get lunch so i would say maybe 2pm at the latest?
It is lakeside as well so not all the way out at Ipswich!
Will let you guys know though when i find out today.
Checked with QLD Raceways (they have been extremely helpful with all of my queries)
Laps generally start at 12:30 and run for 30 minutes.
Lunch starts right after (at 1pm) and finishes whenever we want to leave (no more track time after lunch though)
Gates close at 5pm.
So Foo Fighters people should be able to make it, scoff a quick lunch for 15-20 minutes then blast off down the coast for the concert.
Alternatively, you just pay $30 and don't eat lunch
Brimway, am I right in inferring that you are bringing someone with you from your "x 2" comment?
Count me in too. Good excuse to catch up with a few fellow dubbers.
140km/hr anywhere other than the straight is still sufficiently fast for lakeside to have an enjoyable drive - and even then will be quick for beginners. You'll be giving it a bootful for 2/3rds of the track to reach that speed and the two hair pins are mid third gear corners, the left hander up the hill is likely to be second gear for most.
