Pretty sure i saw that a month or so ago. It was a grey Mk5 if i remember correctly? Couple of girls driving it around the foreshore while i was taking my dog for a swim at Horseshoe beach.
Yeah, pink sticker on the back windscreen.
Saw it up around Fern Bay.
Anything with 2NV in the number plate is dodgy.
Audi S3. Sold
Golf R. Sold
Citroen DS3 Dsport. Sold
2016 Skoda Octavia RS Wagon.
When I got my old BMW every second one I looked at had a number plate like 3182NV or CMY318 or some other bull.
It's a 4 pot BMW. Why brag about it?
Funny you mention that actually - i love seeing the "fake" cars. There was a 318i BMW at the service station the other day when i was filling up with an "M3" badge on the back. Automatic with the 80 odd KW 1.8 single cam engine......hmmmm. Looked like it hadnt been washed since 1998 as well.
And the Commodores with the full HSV Bodykit, HSV rip off rims etc etc etc. Then when you get up closer you see that not only is it an automatic V6, but an Executive model (bare bones base model). Even more stupid, is that the twats leave the "V6 Ecotec" and "Executive" badges ON.
Funny thing is, all they are doing is fooling themselves. Because anyone who knows about cars will soon see that its not a real HSV / M3 etc, any anyone who wouldn't know any different wouldn't be interested in cars anyway - therefore wouldnt know what an M3 is anyway.
i was scouting carsales today and found a 1994 "M3" but the engine had been replaced with a 325 engine...
like what?
i smell a 325 with some m3 gear
haha
^ clearly something dodgy going on with that BMW. Either its a real M3 and they couldnt afford to put another M3 engine into it and went for the cheaper and more readily available 325/328i engine, or its a 325/328i with the M3 bodykit/wheels etc.
Pretty easy to pic a real M3 if you have some decent photos: twin exhaust tips / M3 logos on speedo/tacho dials / brakes / rpm limit on tacho etc.
Got a link to the CarSales ad so i can have a squizz?
