Where are you based? i'm based around beenleigh but love to drive...

my wife could drive it... although i should mention my previous mkv gti ended up upside down in a creek off a bridge... bloody kangaroos!

I missed your earlier post completely. I'm just wondering about logistics of getting to and from the airport and how that will work with also getting to the show on time (getting back is easier since my flight isn't until 8:30pm).


It's going to be a long day (up at about 4am, home by about midnight) but it should be good

when are you flying in, i have the from the thursday off work till the following monday night. i can pick you up at the airport ill drive back to mine then you can take the car till you go to fly home and i can drop you off or meet you at the airport if your coming from a different direction.
i live in the city so its not far or hard for me to meet you any location really.

You should enter it and plaster it with VW badges! Kinda like what the Stanceworks guys did to their Getz when they flew up to Brisbane.

Me, myself and I will be departing from Surfers Paradise area at an undetermined time should anyone want to cruise up to the show together.

Wow, that's amazing, it really will be a flying visit, it should only take about an hour to get to the show from the airport on a Sunday (traffic permitting)
Gates opens at 6am, entrants must be in by 9am, public entry $2 judging at 2pm, finish at 3pm.
Coming down the highway take exit 57 the one after the Dreamworld (Coomera) Exit or the next one, Movieworld, if coming from the south, or using Movieworld exit, you should see the show from the highway.


We will be there early to set up VWDC Marquis, flags etc

We would like to have it organized so that cars are in groups i.e Mk1, Mk2, Mk3 etc all being well.
If anyone else can get there early to help us set up, (apparently Marquis takes 5 people to set up) plus help organize parking as people arrive, we would really appreciate it DUB84 has been kind enough to over so only need a couple more, should be fun setting up a marquis we have never set up before, LOL
