Yeah I'm glad its only the car that was hurt. Took a look at it just now in light and its pretty bad. I'm afraid insurance isn't going to pay up though.

Anyway, I may still make the trip down and check it out. If not and if the car is a write off ill be back in another dub at future events.

Glad your coming down for show, will be good to see you there, would you get another VR6 ? if so see if you can buy it back as a spares car, that's what our Chris did, & boy it has come in handy, they actually gave it to him + the money to buy the next VR6. when will you know?

Thanks guys, the towing company has assessed it and their report suggests it's a write off, still have to wait for the insurer to go over it as well, hopefully they pay up. Will definitely try as hard as possible to buy it back for parts, I've put more then a year of spare time into the car not to mention money, so being able to get some of it back would be nice. I'm thinking a 2 door vr6 conversion is in the future for me if it is written off, they pay up and I can buy the wreck

Sorry to hear about the car sortofbigbj, as others have said thankfully both of you are unhurt.

A kick in guts for this to happen after the s*** it put you through and how hard you worked to get it back together.

You're not wrong, 3 times in a row I fixed it, drove it for no more then a week or 2 (the best one being 1 day of driving before it decided it had had enough) and then broke again, leaving me without the car for atleast a month or two at a time. This time I fixed it up with expensive uprated parts so it would never happen again, and then this. Ohwell. That's life. I don't want to jack this thread, its for the car show not my story, haha. Again to keep it on topic I'll say good work setting this up guys, can't believe almost 60 cars are pre entered, and its not even a vw show. It will be a massive boost for the QLD scene. I can't wait to bring something to some event one day, hah.

Anything about my car I'll be posting in my thread in the mk3 section from now

Already got it covered, I've had more postcards printed to give away at the show promoting the VW & Euro Scene

There is going to be lots more to come, this is just the beginning, We are definitely building the scene in S.E. Qld, after the Wynnum show, as this has been such a success with entry's next date for your diary will be 13th November.
I will start a thread after Wynnum then OMG wait till 2012.

Hope you will make it on Sunday Ben and that you get a car sorted without too much hassle, we need you to help build the scene

Jamboree was meant to be on this weekend as well but it has been postponed until October so we may have a few more people turn up at the show now

Not looking good in terms of weather, shame you can't have a car show in the dry season without getting washed out! Got my ticket today as well so thanks for organising. We may all be huddled under the marquee keeping dry! Let's hope the weatherpeople are wrong!

This is meant to be the dry season, haha, the weather will be great on the day, all booked wont rain Sunday.
