I will be attending this and will contribute on the day if that's OK, in regards to dress standards some families like people to wear club shirts and logo's to identify your support from that group, as they may not be able to get to speak with you. If in any doubt smart casual is always safe. Business shirt and trousers.

Yeah I thought my work clothes would have been the go. Black pants, business shirt.

Maca, if you're posting up details on the meeting point, it better be soon!

I just ordered the flowers, I went with the regular size which was $170 and will have the VW badge worked in nicely.

I just got an e-mail from Christine (Chris' sister) with the details of carpark/chapel locations on the property. We are all meeting at VW first but if anyone wants it, please PM me tonight and I'll e-mail it to you.

I'm going to get a card first, so we'll be a little later than 12 to arrive. I'm going to bring along a list of all forum members who send condolences (people who are there can sign their own names and tick forum names off the list). I'm not sure about what else will be happening.

I've got no chance of attending even though I really want to, but can I have my name on the card aswell? I would have loved to show up to give a fellow Dubber a final sendoff, but I guess not

The service was very emotional, thanks to those who came along. I'll be having a drink for Chris tonight.

Thanks also to Alex for organising it all, and for the use of his tractor to move chris' car

                            cheers
                            Tim

His car was in attendance although it wasn't able to be driven under its own power to the service, Alex towed it with his Jetta (great job mate).

It was a really touching ceremony, I felt lucky to have known Chris. It was sad, but good to reflect on the guy he was and all of the people he touched through his passion for cars. His Mum said that Chris was always dragging her to the computer to look at something on the forum and that she really appreciated all of his car friends turning out.

                                He will never be forgotten.

                                Matt.
