Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

That's obviously the Goodyear NCT5. You should see the lumps & bumps in the sidewall, they all seem to have them....

This is what I learned to do attending the Bug-Ins. With our T4 Transporter we were up against one of the best detailers in the VW scene, Keith Lawer from QLD. I was determined to make him earn his trophy, and as a result, was lucky enough to beat him a couple of times....

Make that 2 of the cleanest cars there.

I just hope Maris isn't judging the Mk1s

                        • Is anyone traveling up from the South Adelaide/Marion area?
I might try and meet up with you for the drive through the city to the show.
Please let me know so we can try and arrange something.

                          Cheers Rob

All credit to you, thats going all the way with the cleaning.
Mine will be lucky to get a quick wipe over with an oily rag, mind you that did happen at midnight last night
as we fitted new ratio rockers, then found a pinhole fuel leak in the AN fitting from the base of the tank,
which I have to fix in the morning as I have to use it in a wedding at 2.00pm.
Now you can see now why mine will be at the show in a used condition.
