Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Great to hear! What was the total car count? I heard something around the vicinity of 400+ parked cars?????

Blown away by a lot of the aircooled stuff too. I don't know much about them but gosh are they spectacular to admire. I think I took more aircooled pics in the show than watercooled

Thanks - photos were taken with a 450D w/ Sigma 10-20mm lens. Very happy with it!

                  Great to hear!

However I will say that there's always a lot on complaining and not much input or help to the committee with this kind of event, so I reckon good on you guys for doing as much as you do already!

this was my first VW event and I loved it. What a great scene we have in VIC, I never realised how big it was. Hopefully my mk4 will have some mods for the next event and I'll bring it along.

Nice to finally meet you Ray. Did you meet Dan (Rupewrechet) from JDMST? I told him you were there just as I was leaving. He had the black/red scalloped Beetle in the Luft section

Mighty tidy mk 2. just wheels and a drop, and that's all taht's needed to make it look mighty fine! (although could do with some spacing out on the back imo )

I also happen to know that there should be a really cool blue 4 door mk 1 floating around in NSW soon too!
