Great day guys. Awesome turnout - 32 - heaps better than we expected at the start. Especially in the heat. Well done
How are we standing in the record's department. BTW?

Good to put names/faces to logins (which will get well an truely scambled in my mind in a day or so, but that's life...)

I didn't actually think that the heat was all that bad, despite no aircon.
No overheating either - who said that Golfs had lousy cooling systems?

Still, I'm sure everyone would vote for cooler weather

It was really good to see such a great representation from all marks of Golfs - and they were all there. In fact, of all the various permutations (and we know that there are lots, right?), I think we were only missing a MkI 16v (Matt will rectify that by the 'Nats) and a 3 door MKII (ok, hard to find).

The various stopping points along the way were a great idea - allowed everyone to regroup, plus take lots of good photos!
As Matt said, an improvement might be to let everyone know where these were ahead of time, and maybe publish a rough route, but all things considered, it worked pretty well.
