QLD BNE & GC Monthly Meets Feeler

I've noticed that the Melbourne and Sydney dubbers have and are organising a monthly meetup so I thought I'd put the feeler out there to see if there's any interest in a Brisbane and Gold Coast monthly meet (Ipswich, Sunny Coast etc are also welcome).

The way I envisage it is that it would be basically a monthly meet up at a restaurant or some such where we can all get together have a feed and a yarn and build the community up here a bit more. Hopefully this will result in a few more cruises and other events going on.

Feel free to throw up ideas, dates and that kind of thing. Also ideas for places to go/meetup that are easy to get to for everyone in the areas outlined above.

My thoughts are maybe do an alternating type of thing. Maybe one month in the Brisbane CBD or around that area, the next month down the coast somewhere and then the month after maybe in between say around Logan.

I've attached a poll to gage interest. So let's see how we go.

I think it would be great to also have them at peoples houses, do things to cars, bbq and beer. more social and cheaper for the pov people too haha

Just an idea, but maybe pub trivia would be good? Beer + food + chit chat.

We'll see how we're going with the votes towards the end of the week and then look at coming up with a location and a date. I think the pub meal type of thing is probably a good idea for a start. Not too expensive and should have a nice laid back atmosphere.

Yeah, I'd do it just to see the look on my neighbours faces when 20 Vdubs park in my little street wicked.

And if there's a quieter one, on the base of a mountain or something, then that'd make for a nice drive to the location anyway.
