PJ Gallaghers - although it is quite nice, parking would be an issue

              Any others people know of?
I know of a decent amount (usually ~20) of free parking at night near PJ Gallaghers (just behind the club and motorbike dealer). Under a roof as well.

A pub sounds good, what with better prices when it comes to drinks/food and free parking. Need pool tables too!
              Past: Mk3 Golf 2L 8V, Audi 8L A3T.
              Present: Mk3 Golf variant.

Panthers @ penrith is really good, great place to eat, drink, play pokies & they have an arcade section... altho i think it might be out of the way fr some people... We are at campbelltown but happy to travel, it is only once a month & if we stick to a date it will be easy to plan for and attend

I turned up for a short visit (couldn't stay long due to a very sick child) and found the welcome from most I tried to talk to to be less than warm (Pierre and Seb were notable exceptions). That may well be keeping numbers down at events - I know the regulars know each other well, but the nature of the clique makes it difficult for a newcomer to feel welcome.

I'd love to attend events, but this was my second event where I've felt like an unwelcome outsider, and I'd really like not to see that happen again (to me or others).
                    Nothing to see here...

i don't think i got the chance to meet you, but if i did i would have been more than happy to have a chat.

I was like that when i first starting going to gtg's and cruises.. i felt it was quite cliquey and felt a little excluded (being female made it even worse) but once you get to know everyone it is a lot more relaxed..

This is why i think a monthly meet would be a good way for newcomers to feel welcome. A smaller group of ppl to meet is less intimidating than the 30 odd that we had at Nationals...

Please dont be put off by what happened on Sunday...

If everyone is okay with it i propose our first monthly meet to be on Tuesday 9th June at 7.30pm and every 2nd tuesday of each month from thereon.

We can try out a few places to begin with (first 3 meets) and then vote at the 3rd as to where is best.

Perhaps the first one can be at PJ Gallaghers (Cnr Great Western Hwy and Church St - Across the road from the ford car stealership) as it is quite central to everyone (location wise). It will take me roughly 25-30 minutes to make my way there so a little effort will have to be put in by most people. Those who live close by are lucky and its less of an excuse to not turn up LOLL unless there are extenuating circumstances like work or family.

Ray - where is the parking that you mentioned??

If anyone has any objections let me know - the venue isnt set in stone and i thought i'd just take the iniative to get it started...

Sounds good Lora, I will have to make my mind up and think about whether I want to go from work in Granville or go home first then back to Parra area

Parramatta, Cnr Gt Western Highway and Church St. Been there a few times, not a bad venue.
