Monthly Meets - What does everyone think??

I'm a shift worker as is Mrs BTJ so we will never be able to be there every time as our rosters rotate. However I'd be there as often as I can and i think that with a regular event you would get into peoples routine.

Sydneysiders are a strange bunch. We all have so much going on in our lives (unlike boring victorians and south australians) that it is hard to lock down one night. Unlike melbourne and adelaide there are actually things to do in Sydney.

I'm a maybe. Weeknights is good, as I work nights on the weekend and often get out of town to see family/friends in the hunter and central west.

You like the old nannas who like bingo and keno - actually an RSL isnt too bad an idea you know - they always have decent car parks, cheap food and drinks..

PJ Gallaghers - although it is quite nice, parking would be an issue

The West Ryde hotel near me is great for food you can get a steak to cook on the bbq yourself, and you get chips and veggies etc with it, all for $10! And although there isn't a carpark OUTSIDE the joint there is one at the woolies which is only 100m away

I think it's fairly central for those that come from west, north and east but I don't know about south cos I'm never down there the place itself is pretty chilled, but its really busy on thursday, friday, saturday nights. I'd suggest a tuesday or sunday night.

Well we dont have to decide a permanent place yet. We can roam around and try a few places and the best one we will use regularly. Tuesday nights sounds like the go-er then??? If we say the second tuesday of the month that would make it in 2 weeks time!

my 2 cents worth... Canada Bay Soccer Club (think RSL) has a decent carpark attached and no speed humps to speak of... The Club has a bistro with decent sized servings and good prices.

I need to confirm my uni timetable for next semester but at this stage Tuesdays suit me too.
