Hey all, i'm starting to look for/ accumulate parts for an ABF swap later in the year. Any info on acquiring a loom/ ECU would be massively helpful! To suit Ce2 fusebox!
You should be able to use most of what you already have despite what they say on the English forum.
They say you need a MK2 16v ignition loom and ecu.
Pretty certain you only need a k-jetronic ignition module. Give Brian at GTI Imports a call.
Seat Cupra parts are only needed if you fit the entire Cupra wiring including the dash. Let me know if you want to go down this path, I've got a spare Cupra that's donated it's motor for my MK1 but I'm fitting twin Dellortos so don't need any wiring.

You can split the engine loom away from everything and just use the digi3 or whatever it is the seats came with. It's a bit of messing around, but probably best way to do it. I'd grab the loom off Paul ^

Cheers guys! yeah i've read so far that you can use the seat loom and ecu, strip down the loom and un-immobilise the ecu. Was either going to get it shipped to vagtronics and customised there or find a local auto sparky. I've touched base with Brian about the engine but didn't think about the loom! Any ideas if he'd be able to set me up with the complete package? I'll try calling tomorrow. If not, i'd definitely be keen to grab that loom off you Paul!
