QLD QLD WTB: Engine 8V JH or 16V suitable for mk1 cabriolet (or cylinder head for JH)

Hi guys,

Just after an 8V JH engine or a 16V engine that would be suitable for a conversion in a MK1 cabriolet. I think the best 16V is a 9A out of a Passat?

If you don't have a whole engine but have a cylinder head for a 8V JH that would also be suitable.

The ear where the alternator bracket bolts on to the head has snapped off on my engine

Why not drill what's left of the ear, tap it and make a new bracket to hold the alternator?

Nothing left to drill and tap unfortunately. Broken off pretty much flush with the head.
