Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • QLD Forge catch can kit for Golf Mk6 GTI

Bought new 2 years ago for around $560.

Has been used for around 15,000km and this has kept my tailpipes from getting black like what you see on most GTI's and petrol Tiguans. It does collect stuffs (oil, evaporated fuel, moisture, etc..) and keeps the turbo intake section dry.

It comes with an OEM gasket so you don't have to reuse and cut the stock one. Also comes with extended Parker hose so you can use the engine cover without anything squeezed under it.

Complete with original box, manual, washer bottle filler neck (still in the car though but will be removed when sold). This kit is specifically designed for Australia and UK and other RHD Mk6 GTI with charcoal canister.

    Very minimal wear and tear.

Free pick up from QLD 4152 or deliver Aust wide using registered post at buyer's cost.

Selling as I won't be keeping my GTI for longer than expected (was going to be 6 yrs+ but the wife has said OK after she passes her exams)as an upgrade to a faster, lighter, newer Mk7 R is on the horizon >D

    Asking price, 60% of what it cost me $560 x 60% = $336 but say $335 ono.

It also cost me extra $30 for the OEM gasket and $15+ for the extended Parker oil resistant hose bits.

and EOI for Gruppe M intake for Mk6 GTI.

It is in a very good condition (I don't let anyone including mechanics to touch it). No visible marks or scratches on the top section (I never wipe it while it had dirt, it has always been washed properly and gently).

How it looks with APR stage 2 intake pipe:

I also have the Gruppe M original box and will use it to post Australia wide.
