  • VIC Wrecking 1991 Cabby 1.8 K-Jet

It's easiest to say it's being wrecked - everything out of the engine bay is available and a few other things too. Everything is running okay, gearbox is very smooth - would keep if I knew it could handle the power it'll eventually get.

There's not many things that aren't available - I'm keeping all panels/doors and dash, as well as subframe, rear bar.

AC and Heater are available as they're being deleted.

Alternator belt is on it's way out, but alternator itself works fine - everything is working fine, have run it from Melbourne to Albury and then around our land here every now and then to stop things seizing up.

Anything you need just PM me with a price you're willing to pay - everything has to go because it's getting a modern transplant

I knew there would be things I didn't think of - I assumed I'd be replacing the fuel pump to cope with a 20vt but apparently the K-JET pump is more than enough…sorry Jrad - at this stage looks like that may be staying

Interested in Shocks/Springs, Drive Shafts and Front Knuckles...
Obviously depending on condition, price and if you will be keeping any of that for your build...

        Edit:
Sounds like a great little project...
Looking forward to seeing more on it...

Shocks and Springs are available - drive shafts have had dibs on if they're suitable for a friends car, if not I can let you know. I'm still unsure because I've only just found out because it's a later model cabby, you don't need to swap out the driveshafts - however I probably will sell them and buy an 02J with driveshafts already connected. I'll keep in touch regarding those. I really don't know what to say price wise for shocks and springs - $75? is that a decent price? I have friends in Canberra that could bring them up after VITS (27th April) to save you shipping costs.

Sorry to hijack this thread but one of the wreckers near me has a complete B3 with 16v and 5 speed factory fitted.

                Cheers

That sounds promising - if you still need me to find out let me know. Like I said in the description - it works, but the belt looks like it'll go any time.

I've had some interest in the front seats - here's a pic when they were in the car - no difference in condition.

However if you look at my very inactive build thread - http://www.vwwatercooled.com/forums/...ead-80741.html - I'm not sure if I might need them to fit my Porsche seats? :/

If you end up changing your wheels, can I steal one of your old centre caps?
