Today I've decided to opt out of the group buy for now and asked for my deposit to be refunded.

Mine came today as well. Waiting on my fakra cable too. There is a sticker on the unit that said void warranty if removed and it is split in the middle. Should I be concerned about this? Also was looking at the screws and one of them was loose.

My guess is that's from the bench flash they had to do?

Likely a good idea. As I still don't see 700+ quality build, 400 maybe, 500 a stretch but 700+ no. I shouldn't have any static noise of any kind period, or a system that may or may not function in the cold on a 700+ unit. No matter what stage in build the unit is in.

Yeah it's a shame, but all may come good in the end. We'll see I suppose.

I can't really see AS becoming a name brand product unless they improve their service a lot but there is are a lot of people willing to pull the trigger and shoot Sandy without giving him a chance to sort things out.

One thing Sandy DID get wrong is warranty postage. It's his obligation as the retailer to pay postage in both directions ifa product is faulty. Not a big but something to keep in mind

My unit doesn't start up in 18 degree weather lol
And my steering wheel radio control buttons don't work anymore.

Can I just send this back for a full refund? This is not a product I want in my car and the price was not worth it at.

Installed the stock stereo and the buttons work fine also. So it leads to the stereo.

Let's see what the response is first before we start feeling sorry for anyone.

Sandy is as much accountable to you as AS is in delivering the "premium" product promised 6 mths ago. I'm sure there is a margin Sandy is making on each unit too irrespective of the quality.

The bug fixes may take another 3-6 mths , by that time the DNS may be worth $200 if you tried to resell it (look at the ANS). So feel sorry for yourself, the guinea pigs,..

Yeah, the longer I have the unit and the more flaws I find (that I feel aren't firmware related) the more screwed I feel. The GPS feedback thing is a big turnoff for me, the unit doesn't feel like a 700+ unit at times my clarion unit was wired the exact same as this and it was perfectly fine

This makes me more concerned that the ans unit my dad is getting will be a pos as well. Chinese garbage like those 200 dollar ebay units.
